Getting around Lakeland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Although it was drizzling rain, it was still a pleasant place to enjoy. Very pretty garden. Not a whole lot in bloom in late summer, except the roses. No fee to park or walk thru and public bathrooms are not far away. Visited on a Sunday. Enjoy a walk along Lake Mirror.

I visited while in town and it is a cute little garden by the lake. A lot of people walk around, sit, read and some even come to take pictures for an event. It is a nice little place to chill and enjoy the garden, fountain and view.

This is a lovely hidden gem in lakeland! It's not to big but has many interesting corners and a lovely variety of flowers! There is a small koi pond on one side with a few koi you can see! It's also right in front of lake mirror so there's quite a lovely view! Lots of little benches around as well if you'd just like to sit and relax! Also there is no fee to enter, you just have to be careful as the building right near it often has weddings and occasionally they go into the garden for photographs!

March 4,2026. Iโ€™ll change my review when someone lets me know this absolute disgrace has been remedied. I took so many amazing pictures of Hollis Gardens in Lakeland, but hereโ€™s where the beauty stops. There are these HUGE fish living in a small fountain. This isnโ€™t a pond. Itโ€™s a small fountain. Now one fish isnโ€™t living- heโ€™s clearly been dead for a while and is floating. In the fountain. Decomposing along with the LARGE live fish that have almost no room to swim around. Is anyone feeding them in the fountain? Because surely they would have removed the dead fish at feeding time. This turned my stomach. Somebody needs to fix the deplorable living condition of these fish. There are baby fish there as well. Google says koi need very large, specialized environments because they can grow 2โ€“3 feet long. They live for decades while producing high levels of waste. Mature koi need 200โ€“300 gallons per fish, usually in a pond or massive tank, or they will suffer from stunted growth. These fish definitely DO NOT have the room they need to flourish. One is already deadโ€ฆdisgraceful.

I was just passing through town and was looking for a place to walk and relax. This place was so lovely. I got there early in the morning and it was so peaceful. There's a small parking lot which filled up quickly because of a wedding arriving. I hope to come back someday when more flowers are blooming.
